Interview with Gary Yee

Gary Yee was the National President of the Chinese Canadian National Council (CCNC) who spearheaded the Chinese Head Tax and Exclusion Act redress campaign in 1987, making it a top priority for CCNC during his four years as CCNC President.  As the grandson of a Head Tax payer, and a lawyer active in anti-racism and human rights, Gary led the redress campaign for many years.  Gary was the founding Executive Director of the Metro Toronto Chinese and Southeast Asian Legal Clinic.
